What is the difference between an isothermal card and laboratory PCR?
Both detect nucleic acid. Laboratory real-time PCR runs on a thermal cycler in a laboratory and is usually sent out. The isothermal card runs at one temperature on a small dock in the clinic, so the result is available inside the appointment.
How does the isothermal line perform against qPCR?
Published and field validations report 94.4 to 97.0 percent sensitivity and 98.1 to 100 percent specificity against qPCR. The documents are on the evidence page.
Does the reagent need a cold chain?
No. The cards are stable at room temperature, which is why the line suits clinics and regions without reliable cold-chain logistics.
